From palaces and forts, Rajasthan, boasts of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve and spectacular Jain temples at Ranakpur, which are just a few of the many treasures of the region.

Udaipur

A city of romance, Udaipur boasts a marble palace seemingly afloat on a lake surrounded by a ring of hills. The skyline is dominated by turrets, cupolas, delicately chiseled windows and imposing doorways of the other palaces around. Udaipur opens the route to the 15th century jain temple at Ranakpur and ancient temple complex of Nagda and Eklingi.

Jaipur

The capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur is built of pink stucco and planned in a grid system with wide avenues. The city has a timeless appeal in its colorful bazaars, the ambling camels and cheerful people in multi hued costumes. Other destinations near Jaipur are, the mausoleum of the Sufi saint, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at Ajmer, Pushkar the abode of Lord Brahma and venue for the annual Pushkar Camel fair and a contrast from tradition and religion,and the Ranthambore National Park, a tiger reserve.

Jaisalmer

Founded by Rawal Jaisal in 1156 A.D, a remote outpost in the Thar Desert, Jaisalmer is one of Rajasthan's most exotic and unusual towns. The city boasts a magnificent 12th century yellow sandstone built fort, which is India's only living fort, and is famous for its intricately carved havelis with conspicuous facades.
