Khajuraho, a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasts of the largest group of medieval temples scattered over an area of about eight square miles. Exquisitely sculpted, well-developed Indo Aryan Nagara styled temple architecture, the temples were built between 9th & 10th centuries.

A hilly area, located on the Malwa plateau, with hot summers, cold winters and moderate rainfall, Bhopal is an old city built on the shores of an artificial lake. A few hours northeast from here lies the 3rd century BC stupas at Sanchi and to the south lies the stone age rock shelter and prehistoric caves paintings of Bhimbetka.

When Project Tiger was launched in 1973 to save the tiger, Kanha was one of the first of the nine tiger reserves selected for the Project. It is prime tiger country and is Project Tiger's star success story. It is also home to one of the most endangered deer - the hardground Barasingha.

Pench Tiger Reserve is named after the Pench river which flows from north to south through the reserve, bisecting it into almost equal halves. Pench is located on the southern boundary of Madhya Pradesh, in the districts of Seoni and Chindwara.

Bandhavgarh National Park gets its name from the tallest hill in the park. As it has vertical cliffs and a plateau on the top, it became a natural fort for the Baghela Kings, who started their rule here in the 12th century.

Panna is a 542.66 square kilometres reserve located in Madhya Pradesh, close to the temple town of Khajuraho in central India. Located on the banks of the River Ken, the park has deep ravines, cascading waterfalls and thick teak forests.
